Whinney Hill – Hyndburn’s Woodlands
Join the Hyndburn’s Woodlands Volunteers for weekly practical conservation sessions. This week, we will be at Whinney Hill scything the butterfly meadow and removing the cuttings to promote wildflower growth. Tools, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles. Waterproofs may be needed, depending on the weather. Join us for a monthly bumblebee survey on Peel Park and the Coppice LNR. We will be doing a BeeWalk, a nationwide bumblebee survey ran by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust!
