Whinney Hill – Hyndburn’s Woodlands

Tuesday, September 12, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join the Hyndburn’s Woodlands Volunteers for weekly practical conservation sessions.

This week, we will be at Whinney Hill scything the butterfly meadow and removing the cuttings to promote wildflower growth.

Tools, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles. Waterproofs may be needed, depending on the weather.

We will be meeting at the end of Livingstone Road, BB5 5BS (next to the Livingstone Road allotments). There is parking available on the car park. Staff will be in orange hi-vis.
