Woodnook Vale – Hyndburn’s Woodlands
Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions. This week we will be doing a joint project with the TreeACTION Project. Tasks include carrying out some maintenance work on the hedgerow we planted last year, secondary tasks include sanding the new bench backs that have been installed at the Willow arch. Join Alice for seasonal habitat improvement work (and of course, biscuits!) at Brookside. We meet at the Noticeboard by the Stanhill Road entrance to the site at 10am (see the map below) All are welcome but under 18s must be supervised by an adult. Waterproofs, boots, and sturdy clothes are highly recommended. Access can be uneven and boggy, so these sessions are not suitable for those with limited mobility. Join Alice and have a go at Hapa Zome printing - using leaves and flowers to create beautiful natural designs. This session will take place in the Stanhill Methodist Church in Nab Lane, Ossy.
