Huncoat East Woodland – Green Team Volunteering
Join our 'Green Team' of conservation volunteers led by our Green Spaces staff members: Helen, Brandon & Chloe. This week we will be at Huncoat East woodland carrying out some practical land management and Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) control. Tasks will include scything the outdoor learning area and balsam bashing. There could potentially be a secondary task of scything the meadow in the adjacent Huncoat West woodland if we have time. Join us for a monthly bumblebee survey on Peel Park and the Coppice LNR. We will be doing a BeeWalk, a nationwide bumblebee survey ran by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust!
