Weekly Butterfly Surveys at Peel Park and the Coppice LNR
Become a butterfly transect walker and learn how to do an official UKBMS survey. If you are interested in ecology and entomology come and take part in weekly surveys from now until late September. Join us for a Big Butterfly Count walk at Peel Park and the Coppice LNR and see how many different types of butterflies and day-flying moths we can record. The Big Butterfly Count is an annual event organised by Butterfly Conservation to help track butterfly populations across the country. 19 different types of butterfly have been seen at Peel Park and the Coppice - hopefully, if the weather is warm and dry, we will see a good selection on the day. …
