The Prospects Foundation and Hyndburn Borough Council are very excited to announce the return of the Brookside volunteer sessions.
Project Officer, Brandon Cherry, who also works part-time on the Hyndburn Woodlands Project, will be continuing with the weekly ‘Thursday Gang Sessions’ and the monthly ‘Volunteer Sunday’ sessions.
Brandon will be hosting environmentally focused volunteering sessions, aimed at improving local biodiversity, managing and improving habitat and creating and maintaining the outdoor spaces on site. Brandon will also be organising activities, training sessions and craft sessions, for volunteers, community groups, and local schools, cubs and scouts.
There will be a repeat of some much loved activities from Alice’s volunteer sessions – so, as Alice would have said, watch this space!
Details of the Brookside volunteer sessions will be posted on the Prospects Foundation’s website on our Events Calendar. Brandon will also continue to put up posters at the entrance on Stanhill Road detailing events, as well as starting a weekly mailing list.
