Tree Maintenance at Bullough Park
Join our Community TreeACTION Officer Helen for a practical session adding mulch mats to new trees at Bullough Park in Accrington. This will prevent the young trees from being outcompeted by surrounding vegetation such as grass, rushes and brambles. Join us every Tuesday @1pm (weather permitting) until September 2024. The transects start in Pleck Meadow and go around the whole site, where participants will count and ID every butterfly or bee they see. This data will then be submitted to UKBMS and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust respectively.
