Community Tree Nursery session – Tree seed sowing
Join our Community TreeACTION Officer Helen for a practical session at our new 'Tree Nursery' Allotment at Miller Fold! We will be sifting through the stratifying seeds (rowan, guelder rose & spindle) and seeing which have sprouted and are ready to be planted. We'll be putting these pots into a rodent-proof tree box to keep the trees safe! Join our Community TreeACTION Officer Helen for NATIONAL HEDGEROW WEEK. Tree maintenance tasks will help our newly planted trees at the Hollins Woodland in Baxenden. We will be checking on all the trees, removing any vegetation such as balsam, rushes and brambles that might outcompete the trees, and fixing/replacing any wonky or broken wooden stakes. Want to help us prepare for our EcoFest on Saturday 14th June? Come along to the PROSPECTS shop, 54 Broadway, BB5 1EW, Accrington.
