Woodnook Vale – Hyndburn’s Woodlands

Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions. This week, we will be at Woodnook Vale LNR carrying out some Invasive Non-Native Species management. This will take the form of Small-leaved Cotoneaster removal.
Tasks include using loppers and secateurs to clear vegetation, followed by using spades to remove the root ball.
Tools, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots, long sleeves and full length trousers.
We will be meeting at the Hurstead entrance to the site, on-street parking is available on Scott Avenue, BB5 2XA. Staff will be in orange hi-vis.
