Join our ‘Green Team’ of conservation volunteers led by our Green Spaces staff members: Helen, Brandon & Chloe.

This week we will be following up on the trees that were planted in March by adding mulch mats. This will prevent the young trees being outcompeted by surrounding vegetation such as grass, rushes and brambles.

We will be meeting on Lower Barnes Street, Clayton-le-moors, Accrington, BB5 5SW (further down from Horizon Foam). From there it will be a short walk across the field to the planted site. Staff will be in orange hi-vis.

Please wear sturdy footwear and clothes you don’t mind getting messy!
