Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions. This week, we will be back at Huncoat East continuing with the pathway maintenance. Tasks include using spades and other tools to clear encroaching vegetation from the paths.

Tools, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles. Waterproofs may be needed, depending on the weather. Please remember to bring spare water this activity can be quite demanding.

We will be meeting at the layby on Altham Lane, BB5 5US (Just after the motorway bridge). Staff will be in orange hi-vis. There is a small amount of parking available in the layby, if the first layby is full then there is a second layby 100m down Altham Lane.
