Woodnook Vale – Overhanging Branch Management

Tuesday, September 9, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions.

This week we will be at Woodnook Vale LNR carrying out some site maintenance. We will be using pole pruners to cut away overhanging branches that pose a risk to passer-by’s or that need removing to promote tree health.

We will be having a tractor onsite at Jubilee meadow this day, which may well need guards to prevent loose dogs from entering its space. If this is the case, we will be changing the session to tree seed collection at Jubilee woodlands, wherein I will guard the tractor.

Please note if we are going ahead with the overhanging branch management steel-toe capped boots are essential for the session. Other PPE will be provided by The PROSPECTS Foundation (hard hats, safety gloves, goggles)

We will be meeting on Hollins Lane regardless, BB5 2QY (Just next to the Hollins School).

To find out more or confirm your attendance, please contact Brandon at brandon.cherry@prospectsfoundation.org.uk or 07733 840842
