Join the Hyndburn’s Woodlands Volunteers for weekly practical conservation sessions.

This week, we will be at Jubilee Woodland maintaining the wildflower meadow that was established last year. Tasks will include scything the meadow and removing the cuttings via raking. Please note I will be operating the strimmer at the other end of the meadow.

Tools, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles. Waterproofs may be needed, depending on the weather.

We will be meeting by the entrance on Hollins Lane (by the school) in Accrington, BB5 2QY (What3Words location: fire.baguette.reclining). There is on-street parking available. Staff will be in orange hi-vis.
