Low Carbon Community Buildings Officer
3 days per week (22.2 hours), £16,200 per annum (£27,000 full time equivalent), 12-month contract
We have an exciting vacancy for a part-time Low Carbon Community Buildings Officer, based at our offices in Accrington, Lancashire.
Would you like to help community organisations in Hyndburn to reduce their carbon footprint and become more energy efficient? We’re looking for someone with experience in low carbon and energy efficient building measures. You will co-ordinate energy audits of community buildings and help organisations to apply for funding. You will also deliver carbon literacy and energy efficiency training and awareness sessions to local groups.
This is a fantastic opportunity to help local community organisations to become more financially stable and make their buildings warmer, whilst helping them to reduce their impact on the climate. The successful candidate will receive training in valuable skills for the low carbon sector, including AECB (Association for Environment Conscious Building) CarbonLite Retrofit training, as well as Carbon Literacy training.
