Whinney Hill – Hyndburn’s Woodlands

Tuesday, February 11, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions. This week, we will be back at Whinney Hill woodland carrying out some Invasive Non-Native Species removal. Volunteers of the Memorial Park project will be familiar with the work, as we will be removing a large stand of Laurel and Japanese Laurel.

Tools, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles. Waterproofs may be needed, depending on the weather.

We will be meeting at the carpark on Livingstone Road, BB5 5BS (Next to the Livingstone Road allotments on Google Maps). Staff will be in orange hi-vis. There is parking available on the carpark.

To find out more or confirm your attendance, please contact Brandon at brandon.cherry@prospectsfoundation.org.uk or 07733 840842
