Become a butterfly transect walker and learn how to do an official UKBMS survey. If you are interested in ecology and entomology come and take part in weekly surveys from now until late September. Not only it is a lovely slow walk around Peel Park and The Coppice LNR, is a brilliant chance to improve your knowledge and skills of butterfly species identification.

All ages welcome. The transect will take between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours to walk. The surveys are weather permitting, so please be aware they may be cancelled if it is forecast rain or high winds.

If you are attending Gemma’s volunteering session beforehand, note there is a 30 minute break before the survey begins for you to have some lunch.
