Join PROSPECTS for scything demos and bug hunts from 11am-2pm as part of Hyndburn Leisure’s “Let’s Move” event at Milnshaw Park.

Scything is a traditional mowing practice, which PROSPECTS often uses to maintain established hay meadow habitats. We also run annual scything training workshops, if you are interested in learning how to scythe then be sure to come along for a demonstration and to chat with our team!

Milnshaw Park’s wildflower meadow has been managed for a few years now and is producing lovely blooms, attracting a wide variety of pollinators and other insects! We will be bug hunting all day, suitable for all ages, adult supervision required for under 18s.
