Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions. This week, we will be at Rushton House Farm carrying out some hedgerow maintenance. Tasks include using hand tools to free up the hedgerow to promote better growth next year. Secondary tasks include cutting back the pathway and making repairs to the dead hedge.

Tools, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles. Waterproofs may be needed, depending on the weather. Please remember to bring spare water this activity can be quite demanding.

We will be meeting along Broadfield, BB5 3SA (Oswaldtwistle, just before the Chick Inn Farm Shop). Staff will be in orange high-vis. There is on-street parking available.
