Memorial Park – Woodland Management Training

Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions, every Wednesday at Memorial Park in Great Harwood.
This week, we will be learning how to fell small trees, carry out thinning works to open up the canopy and allow more light into the ground layer, as well as creating habitat from the brash.
Tools, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles. Waterproofs may be needed, depending on the weather.
We will be meeting on Church Lane, Great Harwood, BB6 7PU. Staff will be in orange high-vis.
