Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions.
This week we will be at Whinney Hill woodland creating Hazel Hurdles at the butterfly glade at the top of Whinney Hill! We’ll be harvesting Willow stems to weave between Hazel stakes to create lovely barriers around the footpath areas of the glade.
Tasks include cutting Willow whips, creating stakes from Hazel lengths, and creating infrastructure.
We will be meeting along Livingstone Road, BB5 5BS (Just next to the Livingstone Road allotments on Google Maps)
