Hyndburn’s Woodlands – Whinney Hill

Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions.
This week we will be back at Whinney Hill carrying out a brash clean up and dead-hedging session.
Tasks include using hand tools to cut brash to size, using wheelbarrows to move the material to the dead-hedge on Livingstone road (short distance).
We will then use hand tools like hatchets to create stakes (if necessary) and layer material in the dead-hedge to sure it up. We may also extend the dead-hedge if we have time.
We will be meeting at the Livingstone Road entrance to the site, BB5 5BS (Just next to the Livingstone Road Allotments on Google Maps)
