Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions.

This week we will be at the Tree Nursery assisting Prospects TreeACTION Officer with tasks that need doing. Tasks include:

• Putting membranes down on empty beds in preparation for Spring
• De-weed and scraping the paths
• Moving woodchip and mulching tree beds in preparation for Spring

We have camping chairs on site. Please bring snacks and plenty of drinking water.

We will be meeting at the small car park at the top of Miller Fold Avenue, Accrington, BB5 0NT (more on-street parking available once the car park is full). Google maps link HERE.

Site Accessibility – there is a short walk from the cars down a very uneven road. The allotment itself has bad access; the path down to the entrance is muddy. Wear good footwear and non-snag clothing. 

• Everyone welcome. Under 18s will need to be accompanied by an adult
• Please wear suitable outdoor clothes and sturdy boots
