Join PROSPECTS on the hunt for Green Hairstreak butterflies, the UK’s only true green butterfly. We will be doing a timed count across the heathland to assess their numbers. We will also be bringing an Emperor Moth lure to hopefully see one of the UK’s largest moth species!

Meet at the Coppice Car Park @10am for a 10:15am set off. The count is subject to the weather as we need sunny & warm conditions! No booking required but it would be good to get in touch so that Robert can let you know if the event needs to be rescheduled.

All ages welcome, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs please.

Join us for our new Hyndburn’s Nature Reserves project! There will be weekly conservation volunteers sessions at Peel Park and the Coppice Local Nature Reserve, every Monday from 10am – 1pm. Come along to learn new skills, meet people, keep fit and help wildlife!

To express your interest or find out more, email robert.gabryszak@prospectsfoundation.org.uk, telephone 01254 230348 or call into the Prospects office at 54 Broadway, Accrington
