Heathland Management – Hyndburn’s Nature Reserve Volunteers session @Peel Park and the Coppice LNR
Monday, March 30 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Final heathland mgmt session before bird nesting season officially begins, we will mostly be tidying up areas we have worked on throughout the winter and processing the birch we have take down which was done to improve the habitat for species like Heather, Bilberry, Crowberry, and more.
The dead hedge and habitat piles will benefit all sort of wildlife but will primarily provide food and shelter for invertebrates & fungi. These can then serve as food for mammals, birds, and more.
Join us for our new Hyndburn’s Nature Reserves project! There will be weekly conservation volunteers sessions at Peel Park and the Coppice Local Nature Reserve, every Monday from 10am – 1pm. Come along to learn new skills, meet people, keep fit and help wildlife!
