The Prospects Foundation and Hyndburn Borough Council are very excited to announce the return of the Brookside Thursday Gang volunteering sessions!

This week, we’ll continue work on the Wildflower meadow areas. Tasks include scything and raking the wildflower meadow areas, ready for seeding.

We’ll be seeding with either a standard wildflower mix or a woodland edge mix, depending on the situation.

We meet at the Noticeboard by the Stanhill Road entrance to the site at 10am – see the map below.

All are welcome but under 18s must be supervised by an adult.

Waterproofs, boots, and sturdy clothes are highly recommended.

Access can be uneven and boggy, so these sessions are not suitable for those with limited mobility. We suggest that participants should be comfortable walking for 15 minutes unaided.
