The Prospects Foundation and Hyndburn Borough Council are very excited to announce the return of the Brookside Thursday Gang volunteering sessions!

We’ll be kickstarting the return to the project with a session working on the gathering area. Tasks include:

• Scything and raking the gathering area
• Dismantling a fire
• Cutting and laying turf over the fire area
• Checking on the trees planted
• Moving logs to make seating

We meet at the Noticeboard by the Stanhill Road entrance to the site at 10am – see the map below.

All are welcome but under 18s must be supervised by an adult.

Waterproofs, boots, and sturdy clothes are highly recommended.

Access can be uneven and boggy, so these sessions are not suitable for those with limited mobility. We suggest that participants should be comfortable walking for 15 minutes unaided.
