Join our ‘Green Team’ of conservation volunteers led by our Green Spaces staff members: Helen, Brandon & Chloe.

This week we will be at Woodnook Vale carrying out a Balsam bashing session. Himalayan Balsam is an Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) that has encroached along the vale and requires removal to prevent its further spread.

Tools, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles.

We will be meeting by the entrance on Hollins Lane (by the school) in Accrington, BB5 2QY. There is on street parking available. Staff will be wearing an orange hi-vis.
