Woodnook Vale – Willow Weaving & Green Team Volunteering
Saturday, October 22, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join our ‘Green Team’ of conservation volunteers led by our Green Spaces staff members: Helen, Brandon & Chloe.
This week we will be doing some Willow Weaving on the bench along the Vale, along with some cutting back in Priestly Clough. The Willow Weaving will be a family-fun event for all to enjoy, however, any older children wanting to participate in the cutting back must be accompanied by an adult and be comfortable using small hand tools (such as secateurs) . All tools and gloves will be provided. For the cutting back in Priestly Clough, we recommend you wear sturdy boots, a long sleeved top and long trousers as we may be working around nettles and brambles.
We will be meeting by the entrance on Nuttall Street in Accrington (across from Pappous Greek Grill), BB5 2HW at 10am. There is on street parking available. Staff will be wearing an orange hi-vis.
To find out more or confirm your attendance, please contact Helen at helen.earnshaw@prospectsfoundation.org.uk, telephone 01254 230 348 or call into the Prospects office at 54 Broadway, Accrington, BB5 1EW.
