Join project officer Brandon Cherry for an afternoon at the wonderful Brookside site as we take part in a Citizen Science project!

We’ll be scouring Brookside to identify Waxcap Fungi! These important fungi typically grow in the remnants of ancient meadow, so finding and recording their location helps build a national picture of where fragments remain!

If you’re interested in fungi, then this is the session for you!

We meet at the Noticeboard by the Stanhill Road entrance to the site at 10am – see the map below.

All are welcome but under 18s must be supervised by an adult.

Waterproofs, boots, and sturdy clothes are highly recommended.

Access can be uneven and boggy, so these sessions are not suitable for those with limited mobility. We suggest that participants should be comfortable walking for 15 minutes unaided.
