Whinney Hill – Hyndburn’s Woodlands

Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions.
This week we will be back at Whinney Hill woodland. This session will be broken up into two parts. This first half of the session will be a short litter pick around the Livingstone Road entrance to the site. The second half, we will be joined by the Hyndburn’s Nature Reserves Officer who will be leading on a Big Butterfly Count. This involves picking a stationary point and counting the number and species of butterflies.
Please note no prior experience is needed to participant in the big butterfly count.
Will be meeting at the Livingstone Road entrance to the site, BB5 5BS (Just next to the Livingstone Road allotments). There is parking available in the car park.
