As well as showcasing all things green and environmentally friendly, the festival is packed full of free activities and entertainment to appeal to all ages.

Throughout the day there will be live music on the stage, with performances from Frolicking Pete and the Fumbling Fingers ceilidh band, the Ukes of Hazzy ukulele band, Ross Whittaker ‘Shoestring’ singer, plus local favourites the Accrington Pipe Band and Haslingden Brass Band. There will be climate-based theatre performances from Tenderfoot Theatre Company and amongst the crowds there will be street performers and giant puppets, plus a visit from the Museum of Memorable Trees!

Head down to the arts and crafts tent for free face painting and henna tattoos, embroidery and crafting using recycled materials, eco messy play, plus a chance to make your own bird box to take home. Local artists will also be holding botanical printing workshops.

There will be stalls and activities from the Lancashire Wildlife Trust, Ribble Rivers Trust, Woody (Hyndburn) CIC, Cosy Homes in Lancashire, Greener Homes in Lancashire, Willow Top Hedgehog Rescue, Lancashire Peat Partnership, Fairtrade Lancashire, Growing Wild, Pendle Mushroom Company, Coach Road Solar Meadow, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley CVS, Community Rail, Hyndburn Council, Martha’s Kitchen jams and preserves, plus lots more! Providing food on the day will be the Birchwood Pizza Van, serving up delicious vegetarian and vegan homemade pizzas.

The PROSPECTS Foundation will also have their own stalls with giveaways, and information on how people can reduce their impact on the climate and environment, plus all you need to know about getting involved with green spaces in the local area, including a virtual reality headset to view 3D drone footage of the Brookside wildlife site in Oswaldtwistle.  The PROSPECTS Foundation’s refill station will have its own stall, selling eco-friendly, household refill products, helping people to reduce single use plastic.

Save the date in your diaries and don’t miss out on this fantastic, free event with fun and entertainment for all!
