Join our Community TreeACTION Officer Helen for a practical session at our new ‘Tree Nursery’ Allotment at Miller Fold!

We will be sifting through the stratifying seeds (rowan, guelder rose & spindle) and seeing which have sprouted and are ready to be planted. We’ll be putting these pots into a rodent-proof tree box to keep the trees safe!

We will be meeting at the small car park at the top of Miller Fold Avenue, Accrington, BB5 0NT (more on-street parking available once the car park is full). Google maps link HERE.

PLEASE NOTE: Site Accessibility – there is a short walk from the cars down a very uneven road. The allotment itself has bad access; the path down to the entrance is steep and overgrown! Wear good footwear and non-snag clothing. 

• Everyone welcome. Under 18s will need to be accompanied by an adult
• Please wear suitable outdoor clothes and sturdy boots

The TreeACTION Project is a direct result of Hyndburn Borough Council’s Climate Emergency Declaration in September 2019 and is seen as one of the key projects where local people can help to reduce emissions within the borough.
