Join us for on the last Saturday of every month, our Woodlands Officer, Brandon Cherry will be running volunteer sessions with the aim of connecting locals to an amazing woodland right on their doorstep! Tasks may include tree thinning, making access improvements, removing invasive species, litter picking and much more!

This month, we will be focusing on removing the Himalayan Balsam present on site in the form of a ‘Balsam Bash’. This vital work helps keep our woodlands free from invasive non-native species which occupy a disproportionate amount of the ground floor space, helping free up space for native species which provide more benefit for our pollinators.

Perfect for families, children must be accompanied by an adult.

Time: 10am – 1pm
Location: We will be meeting at the Thorneyholme Road entrance in Accrington, BB5 5FW. There is on street parking available.
