SUMMARY:December 2026 Crafting Evenings #3 | Natural Xmas Tree Decorations
DESCRIPTION:Looking to create some natural and plastic-free festive decorations this winter? Our family-friendly Tuesday crafting evenings have you covered! All sessions will use materials harvested from local green spaces for the purpose of conservation\, meaning the crafts will be good for you and for nature. To top it all off\, we will have warm mulled punch (0%) and mince pies to get you in the festive spirit\, all for free! \nFor this session\, Robert will be creating ornaments from hazel/birch wood slices and tree branches\, as well as trying to use up any leftover wreath making materials! \nThe materials will be selectively harvested from patches of woodland that will benefit from thinning. Thinning in dense woodlands allows for more light to reach the woodland floor\, encouraging a wider variety of wildflowers\, shrubs\, and trees to grow\, improving biodiversity. \nEvent Location: @The PROSPECTS Shop\, 54 Broadway\, Accrington\, BB5 1EW\nDate: Tuesday 8th December | Time: 6:30pm – 8pm \nPLEASE NOTE: We will be prioritising new attendees who have not made a wreath with us in the past. This is to keep it fair for all. \nBooking is Essential: robert.gabryszak@prospectsfoundation.org.uk or call (01254) 23048. \nDonations welcome. \nIf you are interested in helping collect any of the materials for the workshop then get in touch to help out at our volunteer sessions!
