DESCRIPTION:Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions. This week\, we will be back at Whinney Hill woodland carrying out a Balsam Bash. \n\nTasks include using scythes and dashel bashers to clear Balsam from the site. \n\nTools\, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots\, long sleeves and full length trousers. \nWe will be meeting at the Livingstone Road entrance\, BB5 5BS (Just next to the allotments). There is parking available in the car park. DESCRIPTION:Join our Community TreeACTION Officer Helen for a practical session involving tree maintenance tasks to help our newly planted trees at Harvey Street in Oswaldtwistle. We will be checking on all the trees\, removing any vegetation such as grass\, rushes and brambles that might outcompete the trees\, and fixing/replacing any wonky or broken wooden stakes. \nWe will be meeting on Harvey Sreet\, nearest postcode BB5 3LN. Staff will be in orange hi-vis. \nNo experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm! \n\nAll ages welcome.
