We will be looking after some of our ancient Oaks and Hawthorn in the grounds of the old Hall. We will be making brash piles around some of our grand old trees to help with natural regeneration of seedlings from these veterans. This Friday (17th Jan) we will be felling trees deemed potentially dangerous to users of the path / cycleway through Woodnook Vale.  This route is owned by Lancashire County Council and forms part of the National Cycleway Route 6 and is also well used by walkers, runners and dog walkers. As the route was an old railway line some of the trees (mostly willow) are growing in the banking at steep angles and a number have split and fallen onto…
