SUMMARY:Community Tree Nursery session (woodchip delivery!)
DESCRIPTION:Join our Community TreeACTION Officer Helen for a practical session at our new Tree Nursery Allotment at Miller Fold! \nIt’s mulching day! We will be getting a delivery of woodchip that we will be moving with a wheelbarrow and laying on our entrance path to the site to improve access in the short term. Any extra chip will be used as mulch in our tree growing beds. \nWe have camping chairs on site. Please bring snacks and plenty of drinking water. \nWe will be meeting at the small car park at the top of Miller Fold Avenue\, Accrington\, BB5 0NT (more on-street parking available once the car park is full). Google maps link HERE. \nSite Accessibility – there is a short walk from the cars down a very uneven road. The allotment itself has bad access; the path down to the entrance is muddy. Wear good footwear and non-snag clothing.  \n\nEveryone welcome. Under 18s will need to be accompanied by an adult\nPlease wear suitable outdoor clothes and sturdy boots\n\nTo find out more or confirm your attendance\, please contact Helen at helen.earnshaw@prospectsfoundation.org.uk\, telephone 01254 230348\, or call into the Prospects office at 54 Broadway\, Accrington\, BB5 1EW. \nThe TreeACTION Project is a direct result of Hyndburn Borough Council’s Climate Emergency Declaration in September 2019 and is seen as one of the key projects where local people can help to reduce emissions within the borough. \n  \n
