SUMMARY:INNS Shrub Removal - Hyndburn's Nature Reserve Volunteers session @Peel Park and the Coppice LNR
DESCRIPTION:Map showing the meeting point at Peel Park & the Coppice LNR. Click the image to be taken to the map.\nAbove Pleck Meadow\, there are a number of Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) which need to be removed. The shrubs are cotoneaster and non-native honeysuckles\, which are garden escapees that can be detrimental to biodiversity in the wild. We will be digging up as much of the root and cutting up the vegetation up to remove it from the site. \nJoin us for our new Hyndburn’s Nature Reserves project! There will be weekly conservation volunteers sessions at Peel Park and the Coppice Local Nature Reserve\, every Monday from 10am – 1pm. DESCRIPTION:Join our Community TreeACTION Officer Helen for a practical session replacing tree tubes that have been damaged by recent storms at the new Bullough Community Woodland (Bullough Park\, Accrington). \nWe will be meeting at the Southern entrance to the new woodland\, at Woodview Drive (just off Miller Fold Avenue)\, Accrington. BB5 0FS. On-street parking is available. \n\nNo experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm!\nPlease wear suitable outdoor clothes and sturdy boots (wellies are advised) – the site is very windy so please wrap up well.\nWork gloves will be provided\nAll ages welcome.
