SUMMARY:Whinney Hill - Henry's Honeysuckle
DESCRIPTION:Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions. \n\nThis week\, we will be back at Whinney Hill woodland carrying out INNS (Invasive Non-Native Species) removal. This will take the form of ‘Henry’s Honeysuckle’ removal. This plant is a garden escapee that is smothering a young Oak and encroaching its way into the native wildflower meadow. \nTasks include\, using hand tools like loppers\, bow saws and secateurs to cut back the plant. Cuttings will be stored in a rubble sack to prevent further escape.
