SUMMARY:New Allotment - Hyndburn's Woodlands
DESCRIPTION:Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions. This week\, we will be assisting the TreeACTION Officer with The PROSPECTS Foundation’s newest site! The allotment is scheduled to become a tree nursery\, to grow local stock for future tree planting schemes. \n\nTasks include using hand tools to clear the paths and flagstones from encroaching vegetation. Secondary tasks may include laying down wood chip on the cleared pathways. \n\nTools\, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots\, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles. Waterproofs may be needed\, depending on the weather. \nWe will be meeting at the end of Miller Fold Avenue\, BB5 0NT. Staff will be in orange hi-vis.
