DESCRIPTION:Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions. This week\, we will be at Rushton House Farm carrying out some hedgerow Maintenance. Tasks include using hand tools to clear back vegetation from the hedgerow\, freeing it up for Spring growth. \nTools\, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots\, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles. Waterproofs may be needed\, depending on the weather. \nWe will be meeting along Broadfield\, Oswaldtwistle\, BB5 3SA (Just before the Chick Inn Farm Shop on Google maps) . Staff will be in orange hi-vis. SUMMARY:Citizen Science Day: Water Quality Testing
DESCRIPTION:Join our Brookside Development Office Alice and the Ribble Rivers Trust for a citizen science event at Brookside. We will be collecting vital water quality data for the four lodges and lottice brook\, which will inform our management plan. \nNo experience is necessary and all training will be provided. \nWe will meet at the Stanhill Methodist Church at 10am before walking down to the site together. \nAll are welcome but under 18s must be supervised by an adult.
