SUMMARY:Great UK WaterBlitz - Hyndburn's Woodlands
DESCRIPTION:Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions. This week we will be carrying out the second Great UK WaterBlitz water sampling activity! \n\nThe first sampling session yielded very positive results with both parameters coming back with very low levels of pollutants. Unfortunately\, the rest of the UK didn’t fare as well with 75% of samples returned with poor ecological health indicators. \nWe will be carrying out another sample at the same location as the previous activity. \n\nTools\, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots\, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles. Waterproofs may be needed\, depending on the weather. Please remember to bring spare water this activity can be quite demanding. \nWe will be meeting along Hollins Lane\, BB5 2QG (Across from the Alma Inn) . Staff will be in orange high-vis.
