DESCRIPTION:Join our Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer\, Brandon Cherry\, for a gentle stroll through Whinney Hill woodland. Brandon will be teaching us how to utilise features to identify the trees we find in the British Isles\, along with historical and mythological facts! \n\nPlease wear sturdy boots for walking\, long sleeves and trousers for brambles and nettles. All other PPE will be provided if necessary. Waterproofs may be needed depending on the weather. \nWe will be meeting on the Livingstone Road car park\, BB5 5BS (Just next to the Livingstone Road Allotments). SUMMARY:Electrofishing Demonstration by the RRT at Brookside
DESCRIPTION:Join our Brookside Restoration Coordinator Alice for an electrofishing demonstration by the Ribble Rivers Trust. \nIt might sound scary\, but electrofishing is a vital method of surveying fish populations and it doesn’t harm the fish! The RRT will be giving a talk about the technique\, how it is used\, and giving a demonstration in Lottice Brook. \nThe meeting point is the Kemp Delph entrance to Brookside\, on Stanhill Road.
