SUMMARY:Whinney Hill - Hyndburn's Woodlands
DESCRIPTION:Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions\, this week we will be at Whinney Hill woodland. Tasks include setting up a large banner for PROSPECTS\, removing fly-tipping\, small tree felling and habitat pile making. \nTools\, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots\, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles. Waterproofs may be needed\, depending on the weather. Please remember to bring warm items of clothing e.g.\, hats\, gloves\, extra thick socks\, spare fleeces/jackets. \nWe will be meeting at the end of Thorneyholme Road\, BB5 5FW (just outside the play area). Staff will be in orange high-vis.
