SUMMARY:Woodnook Vale - Hyndburn's Woodlands
DESCRIPTION:Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions. \n\nThis week will be broken up into two activities. The first half of the session will involve planting a hedgerow on the edge of Hollins’s woods to promote local biodiversity with Helen Earnshaw\, our TreeACTION officer. The second half of the session will involve a general tidy-up of the site (cutting back\, small repairs etc.\,). \nPlease note I will not be present for the first half of the session and will be joining you around 11/12pm. \n\nTools\, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots\, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles. Waterproofs may be needed\, depending on the weather. Please remember to bring warm items of clothing e.g.\, hats\, gloves\, extra thick socks\, spare fleeces/jackets. \nWe will be meeting on Hollins Ln near the Hollins School\, Accrington\, BB5 2QY. Staff will be in orange high-vis.
