SUMMARY:Whinney Hill - Hyndburn's Woodlands
DESCRIPTION:Join Hyndburn’s Woodlands Officer Brandon for weekly practical conservation sessions. This week\, we will be at Whinney Hill woodland (Thorneyholme) carrying out some maintenance on the hedgerow planted earlier this year. Tasks include hand weeding\, tree limb removal\, litter picking. Secondary tasks include pathway maintenance and potentially Cotoneaster removal. \nTools\, gloves and PPE will be provided. Please wear sturdy boots\, long sleeves and full length trousers as we may be working around brambles and nettles. Waterproofs may be needed\, depending on the weather. Please remember to bring warm items of clothing e.g.\, hats\, gloves\, extra thick socks\, spare fleeces/jackets. \nWe will be meeting along Thorneyholme Road\, BB5 5FW (Just next to the play area)  . Staff will be in orange high-vis.
